I bought it to monitor the temperature of my dog's kennel. I promptly bring him inside as soon as I am notified that he can't tolerate the heat. In the summer, it's the same. I'm thinking of getting a second one for the house. This is a fantastic item.

This monitor comes in handy when you have a 4 month old infant at home. My husband and I can withstand the cold and do not experience any unusual temperatures. If ours breaks down, we're considering purchasing another.
