My Kids Now Beg For Bath Time!

I bought the Pets Alive Swimming Axolotl hoping to make bath time a little less of a struggle—and wow, what a hit! As soon as we dropped the bright teal axolotl in the tub, my daughter was mesmerized watching it swim around. It's super easy to use and honestly cuter than I expected, even for us grown-ups.

From Skeptic to Superfan—This Axolotl Surprised Me!

I'll admit, I wasn't convinced a toy could really imitate a real axolotl—I expected something stiff or gimmicky. But as soon as I dropped the Pets Alive Swimming Axolotl into water, it started moving with an eerily lifelike motion, darting in different directions and looking so realistic it caught my eye (and my cat’s!). The smart power save mode was a nice touch, and changing between the pink and teal colors for my kids was a hit. Now it’s a fixture during bath time and in our fish tank—definitely exceeded my expectations!

More Realistic Than Other Swimming Toys

I previously owned a generic robotic fish, but the Pets Alive Swimming Axolotl is much more lifelike in how it moves and changes direction. The automatic power-save feature and easy activation make it more convenient, so I prefer this one for both looks and playtime endurance.
