It features a custom-made diaphragm for extended frequency response and upper transient response. It offers very low intrinsic noise and is perfectly suited to today's digital recording equipment. It is suitable for voice recording, whether instruments such as percussion, piano, brass, wind, Leslie or guitar amps.

    The camera has an AT8466 base mount that serves as a mounting for your tripod and allows the microphone to rotate and provide better stability and accuracy when using it. It also has a soft vinyl case that has a zip to hold the microphone and make it easy to carry.

    The device is made of thick cast metal and a strong wire mesh that protects and filters the capsule. A secondary layer of finer mesh helps to reduce pops, for better recording you can use an external pop shield. It connects to your sound amplifiers with an XLR cable that plugs directly into the base of the mic.

    Incredible microphone for podcasters!

    This microphone is worth the investment. It sounds clean and crisp. No static or noise. You can feel the quality by the weight of it. Overall it sounds 10/10 and has elevated the quality of my podcast!

    Well made, awesome performance and not too heavy for being cardioid mic.<br /> <br /> It's backed up by audio technica experience, so with that being said, you should expect a good mic

    A fantastic entry point into XLR microphones

    This was my first microphone after the 'blue yeti' and 'snowball' tier of mics and it makes a huge difference. While you will need an audiobox or some such set up to handle the XLR it is worth the extra set up. Sound quality is amazing.
