Audio-Technica AT2020 is a microphone that allows you to record quality sound thanks to a high dynamic range and a fixed cardioid that picks up sound from either side. It comes with a carrying case and a base stand that attaches to your tripods for greater stability and accuracy when recording.
Audio Quality
The Audio-Technica AT2020 offers a high sound pressure level with a dynamic range of 20 Hz 20 kHz linear frequency that allows accurate reproduction of signals from a wide variety of sources. It features a custom-made diaphragm for extended frequency response and upper transient response. It offers very low intrinsic noise and is perfectly suited to today's digital recording equipment. It is suitable for voice recording, whether instruments such as percussion, piano, brass, wind, Leslie or guitar amps.
Accessories
The camera has an AT8466 base mount that serves as a mounting for your tripod and allows the microphone to rotate and provide better stability and accuracy when using it. It also has a soft vinyl case that has a zip to hold the microphone and make it easy to carry.
Design
The device is made of thick cast metal and a strong wire mesh that protects and filters the capsule. A secondary layer of finer mesh helps to reduce pops, for better recording you can use an external pop shield. It connects to your sound amplifiers with an XLR cable that plugs directly into the base of the mic.

Great Upgrade from USB Mics
I upgraded to the AT2020 from a USB microphone, and the difference is night and day. The XLR connection provides a much cleaner signal, and the extended frequency response captures so much more detail. If you're serious about your audio, this is a must-have.
