When you press the start button, the BACtrack S80 counts down for approximately 10 seconds, preparing the system for a breath sample. When the countdown reaches zero, blow steadily and continuously for at least 5 seconds. If a sufficient breath sample has been taken, the user's estimated BAC is displayed on the screen.
