The speaker router
Sonos Boost is a device that connects a variety of Sonos speakers to your home network for a better sound experience.
Connectivity
The Boost connects to your router using a standard Ethernet cable connection. Then, a simple press of the button on top of the Boost will launch SonosNet, a secure wi-fi network that allows other Sonos products to control and play music wirelessly. It also offers additional benefits such as longer wireless range, more consistent wireless coverage and advanced interference rejection.
Extended range
You can extend the reach of the SonosNet wireless network and play music through multiple Sonos speakers. The Boost has three wireless antennas broadcasting 360-degree signals through walls and ceilings for seamless coverage, even in the farthest room of your home.
The Application
Download dedicated apps for your smartphone or tablet, it's compatible on Apple iOS and Android. You can either stream music stored on your device or enjoy streaming services such as Spotify, Deezer and others. You can then choose the rooms you want to listen to and control the playback settings, room by room.
Trueplay
Trueplay software will analyze all acoustic factors that can affect the sound quality of a speaker, such as room size, layout, decor and speaker placement. It will then adjust the way each tweeter and woofer produces sound to ensure that the speaker sounds as good as possible, wherever it is located.
