Actually Gets Used More Than Our Old Math Apps

We used to rely on regular tablet math apps, but my kids lost interest quickly. With Heromask, the VR element and game-style missions make them ask to practice math, and I’ve noticed they stick with it longer and focus better. It’s a bigger setup than just handing over the tablet, but the extra engagement has made a real difference in how consistently they practice.

Thought This Was Just Another Gimmick… It’s Not

I was very skeptical about buying yet another ‘educational’ gadget, especially one that needs my phone and looks a bit like a toy. I worried my 8-year-old would just see it as more screen time and ignore the math part completely. The turning point was watching him actually ask to redo a multiplication level he failed because he wanted to “beat the volcano” in the VR world—he was practicing mental math without me prompting him. After a week of him voluntarily choosing Heromask over his usual games and getting faster with his times tables, I had to admit this is far more effective (and fun) than the workbooks I’d been pushing.
