From Gimmick Skeptic to Teleprompter Believer

I hesitated on the LENSGO TC7 because I’ve been burned by cheap teleprompters with blurry glass, weird reflections, and finicky phone apps. The turning point was my first live webinar: the beam splitter glass was so clear and glare‑free that I could finally read long scripts while looking straight into the lens without that telltale eye darting. The TCQI app worked better than expected too—being able to adjust scroll speed and pause from my phone mid‑recording made it feel like a real studio setup. After a few shoots, the fast fold‑down design, multiple cold shoes for my mic and light, and solid support for both my DSLR and phone convinced me this wasn’t another gimmick but a genuinely useful part of my kit.

Great clarity and portability, but app experience and setup take patience

The LENSGO TC7 delivers impressively clear, glare-free text and really helps you maintain natural eye contact on camera, which has made my videos look more professional. I also like how compact and foldable it is, and the included adapter rings make it fairly flexible with different lenses and cameras. The downside is that the TCQI app feels a bit clunky at times, and getting the tablet/phone, camera, and lens adapters all set up the first time is more fiddly than I’d hoped. I’d still recommend it to vloggers, online teachers, and small creators who are willing to deal with a bit of setup and app learning curve in exchange for a very clear and portable teleprompter solution.

Pro-Level Teleprompter Feel in a Foldable, Travel-Friendly Package

This teleprompter feels surprisingly ‘broadcast studio’ for the price, mainly because the glass is genuinely sharp and free of the hazy reflections I expect at this level. During a 40‑minute live webinar, I read a full script off my iPad Mini while looking straight into the lens, and viewers commented that it felt like I was speaking off the cuff. The app isn’t fancy but the remote speed control and quick background tweaks were enough to keep me from fumbling mid‑sentence.
