Yale Linus Smart Lock is a lock that has an app that is compatible on IOS and Android devices so that you are always aware of your comings and goings at home, lock and unlock automatically or directly via your phone. It is a rugged device that is powered by 4 AA batteries and offers several months of battery life.
The device
The Yale Linus Smart Lock allows you to lock and unlock automatically or directly via your phone. The lock responds to your phone remotely through the dedicated app, it allows you to be notified in time or control the status of the lock allowing your family or friends to access your door. Through the application you can various functions to strengthen the security of your home including the voice command function, the GeoFencing function to automatically open or close your door when you are nearby. It also allows the Doorsense function notifying you in real time if your door is not closed.
Accessories
The device requires several accessories in order to take full advantage of all the options offered but which require additional purchases. The Wi-Fi bridge is the accessory for the remote locking and unlocking functionality, real-time notification and also the voice command function. It also has a keypad that allows you to share individual passcodes to your friends or family without the use of your smartphones.
Connectivity and power
The device is easy to install, it comes with various mounting accessories to make it easy to attach to your door. It is made of sturdy materials which makes it durable while using Bluetooth connectivity with AES and TLS encryption. The lock is powered via 4 AA batteries while providing battery life that depends on the number of times the door is closed, how easy it is to open, and how many times it is opened per day. In normal use, the batteries have an autonomy of 6 to 9 months.
