Make your home hobbies more satisfying by including 3D scanning for your woodwork projects, and more. Miniaturize objects that you scan at full size for your custom RC cars and planes ready for 3D printing. Scan your family at memorable moments to be 3D printed in color.
Scan on the go
The Sense 3D scanner is light, highly portable and small enough to fit in your laptop bag so you can scan data wherever you are and bring it back to the office to complete and enhance your designs.
Sense use cases
The Sense 3D scanner delivers best-in-class accuracy of close to 1 mm with resolution at 1 mm and an unprecedented color resolution of 1920 x 1080 for perfect color texture mapping. Sense has a generous scan range of between 7 and 72 inches to allow rapid 3D scanning of a wide range of objects.
The Sense 3D scanner includes the Sense software to rapidly edit your 3D scan data, solidify for immediate 3D printing and save data out to four industry-standard file formats for downstream uses.
Custom Foosball Players
Create custom foosball players of your employees and teammates with the Sense 3D scanner, Geomagic Sculpt software and the CubePro 3D printer. Once you have your scan data in, you then sharpen the features using Geomagic Sculpt. Add the scan data to the imported CAD data of the foosball part and you are ready to start 3D printing soon after.
Artifact scanning at the University of South Florida
When you are dealing with delicate archeological artifacts, repeated handling by students and professors can quickly become an issue. So Professors Dr. Lori Collins and Dr. Travis Doering at USF’s Center for Virtualization and Applied Spatial Technologies (CVAST) labs focus initially on training students to scan artifacts with the Sense 3D scanner and to start analyzing the artifacts using Geomagic Wrap software. Once the data is created, replicas can be easily created using 3D printers.
Bringing physical objects into 3D for product design
3D scanning with a Sense allows you to bring physical objects into a virtual environment so you can design new products. Scanning a tree allows you to bring the scan data into Geomagic Sculpt, from where you can miniaturize the data, and rapidly design a bedside lamp based on real data. Use Geomagic Sculpt’s embossing tools to create a matching lampshade and you are ready to 3D print your product.

This scanner works very well for what I want it for: faces. It has exactly what one needs for scanning faces. And it works well for bodies, too. |
