This is Chris, the assistant made for the needs of drivers

Chris simply listens and talks to you like a co-driver. You can also make selections or adjust the volume by swiping your hand in front of the device. And if you lose network coverage, no problem – Chris also works offline.

Voice

Using your smartphone while driving is dangerous and, in many places, illegal. With Chris, you can do everything with voice control, and interact with the device like you would a co-driver. The human-like voice recognition works without a defined set of commands.

Gesture

Sometimes, voice control isn't the right tool to get something done quickly. So we developed a way to control Chris intuitively without voice: with gestures. Simply swipe your hand in front of Chris to scroll through contacts or put your palm in front of the device to stop your music.

Easy installation

Installing Chris in your car is as easy as connecting the suction cup mount to your cigarette lighter and attaching it to your windscreen or dashboard, clipping Chris in and connecting it to your phone via Bluetooth. It takes minutes - anyone can do it.

Mount on your dashboard

Simply use Chris's suction mount in combination with a dash-mat or adhesive plate (not included) to attach Chris to your dashboard. Chris's elegant design suits every car - a fantastic addition to your dashboard.

Offline use

One of the biggest problems with staying connected on the road is gaps in network coverage. Chris works both online and offline, meaning that if you enter a tunnel or drop out of a coverage area, Chris will continue to listen and talk to you, and also keep the navigation going.

FAQ

FAQ

What services can drivers use with Chris?

Calls: Hands-free calling, voice-activated address book and recent calls

Messaging: SMS

Music: Music from your smartphone

Navigation: Turn-by-turn navigation, lifetime world maps

We will be updating Chris with new software and integrations regularly, so the initial services Chris offers are only the first step on a continuously expanding roadmap of supported services.

How to correct the voice input?

Chris features a unique combination of voice, hand gestures and display which makes it easy to fine tune voice inputs. For example, when you say “call Peter”, and you have 5 people by the name Peter in your phonebook, you can simply swipe through all contacts with the name Peter with a simple hand gesture while Chris reads them aloud, and without even looking at Chris you are able to pick the contact you want to call by saying "yes".

Isn't the screen too small for effective navigation?

Chris mainly talks you through the route, giving frequent and precise navigation instructions. It has a simplified navigation display, which is very accurate and easy to read. This makes it easy to navigate, and makes following directions a lot less distracting than on a satnav.

Which are the not supported Smartphone modes?
