The Boost provides up to 450 lumens, which is about as bright as a 50W incandescent bulb.
How do I change my password on the Boost?
You can change the Boost's password in each individual bulb's settings within the app. The password change option will allow you to change the password for each Boost that you have added to the app.
Do I need an app to control the Boost?
To control the Boost, you'll need to download the Sengled Boost app from the iTunes App Store for iOS devices or from Google Play for Android devices. The app will allow you to control the light settings as well as the Wi-Fi options.
Does the Boost extend 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz connections?
The Boost works with 2.4 GHz connections.
Will the Boost’s Wi-Fi function still work if the light is turned off?
Yes, as long as you turn off the light using the Boost app. Since the Boost needs to have a constant power supply in order to extend your Wi-Fi network, using the wall switch to turn the light off, will also cut the power supply to the bulb, causing it to shut off completely.
How do I reset the Boost?
The Boost's reset button is located on a raised area on the metal ring below the light cover. To reset the Boost, press and hold this button until the light begins to flash.
Does the Boost create its own network?
By default, the Boost will create its own network and access point that you can connect to. You can configure the name of this network by changing the networks SSID in the Boost app.
What speeds can I expect from my Boost?
The speed will depend on a variety of factors including physical barriers, distance to the router and the speed of your main network. You can expect about half of the maximum bandwidth of your main network in the expanded coverage area.
Can I connect a Boost to another Boost?
While it is technically possible to connect one Boost to another, this can cause significant degradation of your Wi-Fi signal. For this reason, we do not recommend connecting two Boosts together.
