Finally Ditched the Chest Strap for Long Runs
When I first unboxed the Scosche Rhythm+ 2.0, it felt surprisingly light and the strap material reminded me more of a soft, breathable watch band than a piece of gym gear. The elastic is thin but sturdy, and the inside has a slightly textured feel that keeps it from sliding once it’s snug on my forearm or bicep. In actual use, the heart rate readings line up closely with my old chest strap during interval runs and indoor cycling, and the HRV mode syncs reliably with my HRV4Training app each morning without dropping connection. Battery life has been a non-issue so far—even with several long runs and a couple of gym sessions between charges—and it stays connected to my Garmin watch and phone at the same time, which makes tracking in STRAVA and other apps completely seamless.
I’ve never enjoyed tracking my heart rate this much!
Absolutely blown away by how quickly and reliably the Rhythm+ 2.0 locks onto my heart rate and stays synced, even during sweaty interval runs and intense cycling sessions. The HRV mode was the unexpected star for me—it gives super detailed insight into my recovery and stress levels when paired with apps like HRV4Training, and it feels way more useful than the basic stats I was getting before. The armband is insanely comfortable, the battery just keeps going, and the waterproof, set‑it‑and‑forget‑it design has completely replaced my old, annoying chest strap.
More Comfortable Than My Old Chest Strap
I switched to the Scosche Rhythm+ 2.0 from a basic Garmin chest strap I used for running and cycling. The biggest difference is comfort—wearing it on my forearm means I actually forget it’s there, and I don’t get the chafing or tight feeling I used to. HRV mode and smoother Bluetooth pairing with my watch and apps (STRAVA and Peloton) are nice upgrades, but realistically the comfort and not having to fuss with a chest strap are what really changed my day-to-day workouts.
