In the case I'm the only one with MyOeno in my country, is the device still useful to get recommendations on wines?
You're right, MyOeno uses a user-based reference database. In addition, we have formed a team of sommeliers, wine merchants, and restaurant owners who improve and complete this database! The main idea is to collect wines which cover as much as possible their diversity. Of course, all red wines are interesting, not only French wines.
Should wines be purged from the database in order to eliminate erroneous results?
The result (5% or 95%) appears when you put too quickly the wine scanner into the glass before the solid green light. Please note that the calibration phase is done outside the glass of wine and when the light is solid green, you can dip the scanner (points 7-8 of the notice). And your different tests will be consistent.
